In this expanded edition of In the Socratic Tradition (1997) Kasachkoff adds new sections on teaching philosophy with computers, teaching philosophical explanation, and teaching philosophy of gender. Practical philosophy includes all philosophical issues related to human agency, institutions, practices and values – morality and politics are often in focus of practical philosophical inquiry. Theoretical philosophy is usually defined in terms of the topics it covers.
